My first foray into international group travel was when the choir I conducted from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School (now Dock Mennonite Academy) had taken a couple of tours to Great Britain in the early1990’s through a school exchange with Loughborough Gammar School located in Leicestershire, England.
These positive experiences created a desire to design our own trips to destinations of our own choosing. In 1995, my colleague (Dr. Eric Bishop) and I planned a choir tour to Germany and Switzerland. It turns out, the road was more difficult than we imagined. Language barriers provided a challenge and time differences sometimes proved daunting. After much persistence and many predawn phone negotiations, things finally began to fall into place.
We discovered that with some hard work making contacts and making price negotiations we could design stellar tours at a substantial savings.
We subsequently created more memorable and exciting tours for choral groups to Europe, receiving rave reviews from happy students. It has been a joy to take young people to experience and interact with new cultures. We have also enjoyed hosting European groups coming to the United States. We are proud to help them explore unique experiences and sites our country offers.
I then decided I would set out to create interesting and unique tours for other focus groups who want an affordable but well planned experience. Currently we are starting small with only a limited tour schedule but look forward to expanding our offerings soon.
It is our goal to create a custom tour to meet the needs of your specific group that will provide memorable experiences to last a lifetime.
